I started Schwinghamer Law for two reasons: One, I wanted to help individuals and families. Two: I wanted to fight the big insurance companies.

I have spent my life standing up to bullies. I grew up in a small town in Wisconsin with a younger brother who had special needs. When I moved to California to attend law school, I learned how the insurance companies bully, intimidate, and take advantage of personal injury victims. I immediately knew that this was my calling. I finished law school with top marks in Tort Law and Civil Procedure (the legal underpinnings of personal injury) and I successfully competed in the Trial Advocacy program.

I passed the notoriously difficult California Bar Examination on my first try, and I immediately took a job working and learning under a 30-year personal injury veteran at the Law Office of Michael R. Loewen. Within my first year, I was already trying and winning personal injury cases.

After working as an associate attorney for six years, I opened Schwinghamer Law in 2015 in order to continue my personal mission of helping as many people as I can, as much as I can.

My guiding philosophy is to leave each and every client better than I found them. I am happy to say that over my last decade of legal practice I have recovered millions and millions of dollars for my clients, and I have helped them successfully stand up to Fortune 500 Companies, government entities like cities and states, and just about every major insurance company in the United States.
